EP-022 夏の景色を探して⑮（185）

8月ももう終わろうかと言う頃、夏休みも残すところあと数日。

μ‘sicforeverの6人は、毎日早朝に練習を行い、それぞれの学外ユニットも精力的に活動していた。

BiBiは8月末に参加したライブが大好評であり、各メンバーが充実した日々を送っていた。

そんな中の1人、世界の矢澤を自称し、宇宙ナンバーワンアイドルと豪語するにこは、この日特に予定もなく(正確に言うと暇なので)、久しぶりに(と言う割には頻繁であるが)、フィールドワークと言うわけのわからない程で、地元アキバの街を散策していた。

地元とはいえ、にこは決して変装を怠らない。

この日もバッチリとメイクを決め、お気に入りのサングラスにウィッグを装着している。

まるでどこぞの芸能人かのようだが、現ににこは元μ‘s、そしてBiBiで活躍するアイドルとして人気があるのだ。

“だって、しょうがないじゃない、私は超人気者のスーパーアイドル、にこ矢澤なんだもの“と言う、いつもの自己陶酔に浸っているにこの目の前に、よく知る3人が歩いていた。

「あれ、あんたたち何してんのよ？」

3人に声をかけるにこ。

その3人とは真姫、凜、花陽であった。

「えっと…どちら様ですかぁ?にこちゃん」

振り返ってそう言ったのは真姫である。

「ねぇ真姫、私の名前呼んでるくせに、どちら様ってどういうことよ！」

この3人だからこそ、声だけですぐににことわかったのだろうが、普通に考えたら誰だか全くわからない位に変装した姿のにこである。

「にこちゃんは今日も、誰だかわからないにゃ」

「あんたたち普通に私だってわかってるでしょ。何なら1から説明しようか？私は世界中のみんなが愛して止まない、宇宙ナンバーワンアイドルである...」

「暑いから行きましょ。凜、花陽」

にこが言いかけている途中で3人は、再び歩き出す。

にこの扱い方には慣れたものである。

「って、おいおいコラ！ちょっと待ちなさいよ。後輩！せっかく優しい先輩にたまたま街中で遭遇したんだからさぁ、うわー先輩久しぶりですーとか、元気ですか？先輩って言う言葉ぐらいあってもいいんじゃないの？」

「いや、だってしょっちゅう会ってるし…ていうか、BiBiであったばかりだし」真姫が言った。

「ま、まぁそうだけどさ」さらに凛が言う。

「にこちゃんは先輩だけど、後輩って感じだにゃー」

「って、あんたたちねー！…もういいや。で3人で何してたのよ？」

にこは軽くあしらわれるのには慣れている。

しかしさすがに1対3だと分が悪いと察し、話をもとに戻した。

「凜たちはμ‘sicforeverの練習帰りだよ。海未ちゃんの家で練習が終わって帰るところにゃー」

「あー、そういえば海未の家で、朝練してるって言ってたっけ」

「そうだよ。にこちゃんは何してるの？午前中のこんな時間から暇なのかにゃ？」

時刻はまだ9時半だが、いつも通り失礼な言い方の凜だった。

「フィールドワークよ。アイドルにとって現地調査は重要なの！それぐらいあんたもわかるでしょ。でもまぁ今日は暇って言えば暇だけど...」

にこは暇と思われるのを嫌う傾向があるが、珍しくこの日は自ら暇と認めていた。

真姫が言う。

「あれ珍しい。にこちゃんが暇って認めた」

「うるさいわね…ところであんたたちはこの後何か予定とかあるの？

空いてるならどこか行かない？」

「うん、いいよ。にこちゃん。私は大丈夫だよ。」

花陽が同意する。

「あら、花陽は本当にかわいいわね。どっかの2人と違って、」

「にこちゃんごめんね。凜はにこちゃんと違って暇じゃないの。午後はリリホワの打ち合わせと練習で忙しいんだよね。」

「何かその言い方むかつくんだけど…まぁ練習なら仕方ないわね。

真姫、あんたはどうなの？」

「え、私？私は今日忙しいかなぁ？」

「なんで疑問形なのよ。何か予定あるの？」。

「今日は涼しい部屋で、お昼寝する予定があるから、私も空いてないわね。」

「あんたも暇ってわけね。よし」

「いや…よしって何よ。暇じゃないし、空いてないって言ったじゃん。」

「はいはい、あんたも来なさい」

「いやだ！暑い！帰る！」と言うことで、リリホワの練習がある凜とは、ここで別れ、にこと花陽、そして真姫(半ば強制的だが)の3人はひとまず近くのカフェへと入った。

「あー涼しい…もう動きたくないわね。」

入店して席に着くや、早々に真姫は口にする。

真姫はこの後出かける気は皆無であった。

カフェに入るまでも、散々暑い、帰ると騒いでいた位である。

そこに花陽がにこに尋ねる。

「それでにこちゃん、どこに遊びに行くの？」

「そうね、どこに行こうか？みんなで楽しめるところがいいよね。」

「はーい、私はクーラーのあるところを希望します。それ以外は却下です。」

「真姫、あんた全く出かける気ないわね」

「家に帰って、昼寝するって言ったじゃん。」

「そうだけど、せっかくの夏休みなんだからさぁ、」

「わかったよ…じゃぁ例えば私の家なんかどう？涼しくて快適だよ。後は私の部屋もオススメです。」

「真姫ちゃんは家でお昼寝したいだけだよね」

花陽が言った。しばし、どこに行くか考えるにこ。

「それじゃあ…海なんてどう？」。

「この時期の海はクラゲが出るから却下ね。」

「うーん…じゃぁプールなんてどうかな？」

「この時期のプールはクラゲが出るから却下ね」

「真姫ちゃん、さすがにそれは無茶苦茶な気が」

「何をプールにクラゲって！出るわけないでしょ！どうすんのよ！どっか行こうよ！遊びに行こうってばー！」

「そんな子供みたいに騒がないでよ。にこちゃん…わかったわよ、しょうがないなぁ。てことで花陽決めてもらえる？」

「え？？私が？なにそのむちゃぶり」と言いつつ、花陽はスマホで検索を始める。

「あ、いいの発見。これはどうかな？」。

花陽は“世界40カ国のスイーツを集めたスイーツフェア、開催中“と書かれたページを開いて2人に見せる。

「これことりならすごい喜びそう」真姫が言った。

「そうね。うん、悪くは無いけど…そんなに食べれないわね。」にこが言った。

花陽は再びスマホをいじり、検索する。

「うーん…あ、じゃあこれはどう?」

“肉フェスティバル世界中の肉料理の祭典“と書かれている。

「花陽、食べるものばっかりじゃないの」真姫が言った。

だがそれも仕方ない。

花陽に頼んだのだから、必然と食べ物のことになったとしてもおかしくない。

「わがままだなぁ…ああ、これ最高かも!」

“白米博覧会、200品種のお米を集めました“と書かれている。

「却下」にこと真姫が声を揃えていた。

「えっ、なんで？？意味わかんない...」

ぶつぶつ呟く花陽は、なおも検索を続ける。

「これでどう？」

“南部園遊園地。夏休み期間中、毎日花火大会開催中“と書かれており、にこが反応する。

「お、いいじゃない。ここはプールも有名だし、」

「夜は縁日みたいに出店もたくさん出て、花火大会やってるんだって」

「そこの遊園地ってどのぐらいで行けるの？」

「真姫が花陽に尋ねる。

「そこの遊園地ってどのぐらいで行けるの？」。

「うんと…アキバから乗り換え入れて、1時間ちょっと位かなぁ？」

「ねぇ、ここにしようよ。プールで遊んで、夜は花火大会とか最高じゃないの」

既に行く気満々のにこに対して、ようやく真姫も重い腰を上げる。

「しょうがないわねぇ…えーっと今10時過ぎだから一旦家に戻って準備して… 11時半に、また駅集合でいい？」

「オーケー。後は他に誰か来ないかなー？」。

「凜ちゃんたちはリリホワの練習だし、穂乃果ちゃんとことりちゃんは2人で出かけるって言ってたから…後は絵里ちゃん位かな？」

「絵里には私が聞いてみるよ。それじゃあ11時半に集合ね。あ、花火があるから、みんな浴衣で来てね。」

にこが言った。

というわけで、遊園地に行くことになった3人は、それぞれ一旦家に帰宅したのであった。

As August was about to end, only a few days of summer vacation remained. The six members of μ'sicforever were practicing every early morning and energetically participating in their respective off-campus units. BiBi had recently participated in a live event at the end of August, which was a great success, and each member spent fulfilling days.

Among them was Nico, who self-proclaimed as "the world's Yazawa" and boasted of being the universe's number one idol. On this day, without any particular plans (or rather, because she was free), she decided to do some inexplicable "fieldwork" by wandering around her hometown of Akiba.

Though it was her hometown, Nico never neglected her disguise. She perfected her makeup, put on her favorite sunglasses, and wore a wig, looking like a celebrity. After all, Nico was a popular idol active in both μ's and BiBi.

Can't help it, I'm a super popular super idol, Nico Yazawa, she mused in her usual self-indulgent thoughts when she spotted three familiar faces walking ahead.

Hey, what are you guys doing?

Nico called out to the three, who were Maki, Rin, and Hanayo.

Um... Who might you be? Nico-chan?

Maki turned around and asked. Despite recognizing her voice, Nico's disguise was so thorough it was difficult to identify her.

Nico-chan, even today, you're unrecognizable.

You guys obviously know it's me. Should I start from scratch? I'm the universally loved, number one idol...

Let's go; it's too hot. Rin, Hanayo, Maki interjected, and the three started walking again, accustomed to handling Nico.

With that, Rin, who had Lililicious practice, parted ways, and Nico, Hanayo, and Maki (somewhat forcibly) entered a nearby cafe.

Ah, cool... I don't want to move anymore.

As soon as they sat down, Maki said what they all felt. She had no intention of going anywhere after the cafe, having complained about the heat all the way there.

So, Nico-chan, where shall we go?

Let's see, somewhere all of us can enjoy. Ah, I only accept air-conditioned places.

I told you, I want to go home and nap.

But it's summer vacation, we should do something.

Me? Why me? Hanayo began to search on her phone.

Hanayo showed them a page about a "World Sweets Fair with sweets from 40 countries."

Kotori would love this, Maki noted.

Yeah, not bad, but... I can't eat that much, Nico said.

Hanayo searched again.

Umm... how about this?

A Meat Festival with meat dishes from all over the world.

Hanayo, is it all about food? Maki asked, but it was inevitable since they asked Hanayo to decide.

Okay, this might be the best! 'Rice Expo with 200 rice varieties.'

No way, Nico and Maki both said.

Why? I don't understand...

Hanayo continued her search.

How about this?

A south garden amusement park. Fireworks every night during summer vacation.

Oh, that's not bad. The park is known for its pool too.

And they have lots of stalls like a festival at night, with fireworks.

How far is that amusement park?

It's about an hour from Akihaba with transfers.

Let's go there. Swim at the pool and then fireworks at night sounds great.

Finally, Nico was excited, and Maki reluctantly agreed.

Can't be helped... it's just past 10 AM now, so let's go home and get ready. Meet back at the station at 11:30?

Okay. I wonder if anyone else can join?

Rin and others have Lililicious practice, and Honoka and Kotori are out together... maybe just Eli?

I'll ask Eli. So, 11:30 meet-up. Oh, and since there will be fireworks, everyone come in a yukata.

Nico said. And so, the three who decided to go to the amusement park each went home temporarily.
